Halal Ludo Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2 October 2026
Halal Ludo ("the game", "we", "us") is a Ludo board game played with a number spinner. This policy explains what information the game uses, why, and the choices you have. Questions: support@halalludo.com
1. No account needed
You can play without creating an account or password, and without giving a phone number. Signing in with Google Play Games is optional.
2. Information kept on your device
The following are saved on your device so the game can remember your progress:
- your player name and avatar;
- Points, trophies, league and rewards;
- settings and game statistics;
- recent game history;
- your invite code.
3. Google Play Games (optional)
If you connect Google Play Games, a copy of your progress is saved in your own Google Play Games saved game, so it can come back on a new phone. Google handles this under the Google Privacy Policy. We never receive your Google account password.
4. Friends rooms
When you create or join a Friends room, the Halal Ludo server receives only what is needed to run the game:
- a random guest ID;
- the name and avatar you chose;
- whether you have H Pass (to show the badge);
- your room code;
- your moves and the match result in that room, used for Friends Points.
Quick messages: you tap one of a fixed list of ready-made messages, such as "Good luck!" or "Your turn!". There is no typing, so no text you write is ever sent. The server receives only the number of the chosen message and passes it to the others in your room. Messages are kept in the server's memory only while the game runs and are never saved. If you turn on Mute, that choice is saved with the room so the others can see it.
Guest sessions expire after about 30 days without use. Finished or inactive rooms are deleted automatically.
5. Invite & Earn
To run invite rewards, the server keeps:
- your invite code;
- a secret key that proves the code is yours;
- which friend's code you used, if any;
- how many games have been counted towards a friend's reward;
- the rewards given.
When you install the game from a friend's link on Android, the game reads the install information Google Play provides, to find the invite code in that link.
6. Game analytics and crash reports
We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the game is played and to fix problems.
Analytics records game activity such as:
- which mode you play, how many players and the AI level;
- how long a match lasts and whether it was finished;
- which board, spinner or goti you equip;
- whether a reward video was watched;
- general app usage, such as active days.
Crashlytics records technical details when the game crashes, such as the device model, Android version and where in the game the error happened.
These reports do not include your player name, room codes, quick messages or any text. Firebase may process device information and an app instance identifier, as described in Google's policies. We use this information only to improve the game, and we do not sell it.
7. Ads
Ads are shown by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID, your IP address and how you interact with ads, as described in Google's policies. Where required, you can review and change your ad privacy choices in Settings (Ad Privacy). You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. H Pass removes ads.
8. Purchases
H Pass and Inventory items are bought through Google Play. Google Play handles your payment details; we never receive your card or bank details. The game only receives whether your purchase or subscription is active.
9. Security and connection data
Our server uses your IP address for a short time to protect the service from abuse, for example by limiting too many requests. Connections to our server are encrypted (HTTPS).
10. What we do not do
- We do not sell your information.
- We do not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone or files.
- There is no betting, gambling or real-money prize in the game.
11. Children
Halal Ludo is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over. We do not ask for personal information such as real names, email addresses or phone numbers. If you are a parent and believe your child has shared personal information with us, contact support@halalludo.com and we will delete it.
12. Your choices and deleting your data
- Settings, Reset Progress: clears your progress on this device.
- Uninstalling the game: removes the information saved on your device.
- Google Play Games: you can delete the game's saved data from your Google Play Games settings.
- Friends and invite data on our server: email support@halalludo.com with your invite code (shown in the Invite popup) and we will delete it.
- Analytics and crash data: kept by Firebase under Google's retention settings. To ask us to delete data linked to your device, email support@halalludo.com.
13. How long we keep information
- Friends room data is deleted automatically when rooms end or go inactive.
- Invite data is kept while the invite program runs, or until you ask us to delete it.
- Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.
14. Changes
We may update this policy. The new version will be shown in the game and on our website with a new effective date.
